When passing through certain counties in Missouri, such as Pemiscot County, an out-of-stater like me should know: if you are stopped and ticketed for a moving violation like a speeding ticket (I so was not doing 86 mph), they will arrest you and take you to the county courthouse (jail) until you can post bond and pay your fine.
I kid you not, and I am grateful to Officer Parrot of the Missouri State po po for not taking me down. And I was not doing 86.
